Early Island Packets had chain plate issues as they aged. Anything after the late 90's you probably don't need to do that because the used a better quality stainless in their manufacturing.

Did you put any foam between the bulkhead and the hull or just thickened epoxy? Getting ready to do this myself.

Ive got a Flojet pump that needs to be replaced. The pressure switch is not easily serviced or even adjustable. The pump generates soo much psi it only stops when it deadheads, and then the amps climb and it gets wicked hot. It shoots at least 15' out of the shower nozzle 😂

Grear boat, dude. She's alittle slow, but gorgeous to look at.

only issue with the older island packets is chainplates. when i asked island packet about them. them said as of 1998 they fixed the chainplate issues.

It's in really good shape but the lights don't work or its soft in one spot , it kills me when people say that , like when i look at an outboard to buy ,it was just running last week but theres a hole in the block ! You vessel is really nice but almost all need some work and granted yours is not in need of much , nice purchase !

Is the house building vids uploaded anywhere? If not, a pivot to making the channel more than just sailing with sailing playlists could be an option. A sailing channel within a channel covering more broader projects

It is important to use some insulation between the hull and interior paneling. This is the only way to prevent water from condensing on the craft's interior. it is not necessary in the bildge but everything above will have protection. You may also consider air exchanger and sound proffing in the engine compartment.

If you leave space above the watertank condensation will not affect anything above it.

My 1964 GP14 still has her spruce mast. I hand sanded it down to bare wood, reglued it, and put 5 coats of varnish. It's one of the first things people notice when they see her. Yes, it is a lot of work compared to a heavy aluminum mast or the new lightweight carbonfibre, but very much worth it.
